Langhe Doc "Il Nebbio" 2018 - Pio Cesare
Scents of currant, fleshy fruit, almost sweet, discreet tannins, roundness, fragrance, freshness but also compactness and seriousness. It can last over time, enhancing the austerity of Nebbiolo. Serve fresh from the cellar.
VARIETY: Nebbiolo and a small part of Pinot Nero.
VINEYARDS: Also in the name, Nebbio comes from Nebbiolo and wants to express its fragrance, youth and freshness. From a selection of our own vineyards including those in Serralunga d'Alba, Diano d'Alba, Treiso and Trezzo Tinella. Pretty early harvest.
VINIFICATION: After a short maceration, the grapes ferment in steel.
AGING: In steel until bottling, usually in March. It does not "touch" the wood.
