Barbera d'Alba Superiore 2018 - Seghesio
It is a broad and complex wine, with an elegant texture and great structure. The acidity is that typical of the vine, but is damped by a long aging in large oak barrels. An exceptional wine that can be drunk immediately or kept for a long time in the cellar.
Barbera d'Alba Superiore is a dry wine obtained with a controlled temperature fermentation lasting 8-10 days. The refinement of 50% of the wine is carried out, after mal-lactic refermentation, in wooden barrels of about 30 hl. The remaining 50% is aged in non-new barriques (second passage) for a period of 13 months. The following six months of aging in the bottle contribute to the growth of a large, dry and spicy wine with sustained texture.
