Jean Grivot's Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Charmois 2021 is a Pinot Noir from the Les Charmois climat, located in the northern part of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy. The Jean Grivot winery, based in Vosne-Romanée, is known for its focus on quality and the adoption of sustainable winegrowing practices, although not organically certified. The vines are grown on predominantly calcareous soils, which give the wine a particular minerality. Vinification involves spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by ageing for about 18 months in French oak barrels, with a small percentage of new wood to preserve the purity of the fruit.
