Cotes D'Aauxerre Bourgogne Rouge 2018 - Domaine Grand Roche
The nose has aromas of red fruit typical of Pinot Noir. On the palate it is light, fresh and with good acidity. Ideal paired with grilled meat and cheese dishes. It is recommended to drink it within 3 years of the harvest.
Domaine Grand Roche is a 23-hectare family business founded in 1987 by Erik Lavalée. The Domaine makes wine exclusively from grapes grown in sustainable agriculture and from its own vineyards in the appellation Saint Bris, Chablis and in the Côtes d'Auxerre. The Côtes d'Auxerre is a region of Burgundy that develops south of the city of Auxerre, around the banks of the Yonne river. The first vineyards appeared in the 14th century and in 1321 Auxerre wines were served at the coronation of Charles VI. In 1787 the region boasted 1827 wanderers of vineyards but after the filosserà only 200 were replanted. Today little known, Côtes d'Auxerre produces white wines from Chardonnay grapes and reds from Pinot Noir with an excellent quality / price ratio. The vineyards are located between 120 and 280 meters above sea level, mainly exposed to the south-east and south-west.
