Le Rochoy is a unique hill in Sancerrois. It was once a Gallo-Roman quarry called "Rochetum". Flints scattered on the ground accumulate heat during the day and release it at night. The subsoil, composed of flint, gives this cuvée all its minerality. The ripening of the grapes is rapid and gives an exceptional white Sancerre.
The dress is characterized by its straw yellow color with silver reflections. The wine is crystalline and limpid. The nose reveals beautiful white flowers and very ripe yellow pulp fruits with a hint of angelica (small candied fruit). On the palate it has a nice freshness, very expressive and balanced. The minerality of the flint stands out with a light smoke in the mouth. Le Rochoy develops superb fullness and surprising generosity.
