Chateau Sainte Roseline
Les Arcs | Provence - France
Château Sainte Roseline is a place steeped in history. Classified as a historic monument in 1980, this property is a stronghold of wine tourism in Provence. Château Sainte Roseline owes its fame to the famous chapel, built in the 10th century, containing the relics of Sainte Roseline (Mother Prioress of the Abbey of La Celle-Roubaud from 1300 to 1329). Although the estate's viticultural activity began to develop in the 14th century, Château Sainte Roseline now takes care of a 110-hectare vineyard that produces a wide range of red, rosé and white wines. Grapes include grenache, syrah, mourvèdre, cinsault, cabernet sauvignon, rolle and sémillon. Strongly committed to sustainable viticulture for many years, Château Sainte Roseline has been certified Haute Valeur Environnementale Niveau 3 and since 2021 as “Vignerons engagés”. The conversion of the vineyard to Organic Agriculture began in August 2019. Promoted to Grand Cru Classé de Provence in 1955, the estate is experiencing an era of renewal following its purchase in 1994 by Bernard Teillaud. Since 2011, his two daughters, Aurélie Bertin and Delphine Meunier, have continued to make the wines of this emblematic estate shine.
