Château de Lacquy

LACQUY | BAS ARMAGNAC - FRANCE

Owned by the same family since 1711, it is today the oldest domaine in the Bas-Armagnac and covers about 400 hectares, 20 of which planted with vines. The main grape varieties are Baco 22 A which allows a long aging, the Ugni-Blanc which gives elegance and finesse, the Colombard which gives the aromas of ripe fruit and the legendary traditional Folle Blanche. The Château de Lacquy is one of the 5 founders of the "Crus Légendaires en Bas Armagnac" where the quality process is defined through a "quality charter" to obtain a high quality bas armagnac.

A blend of Armagnacs from 5 different years and 3 grape varieties. The youngest component is 12 years old, all are aged in oak barrels in our wine cellar until bottling. Notes of cocoa and flowers, a hint of vanilla. Straightforward attack on the palate, lovely balance and great freshness. Great length on the palate.

A blend of Armagnacs from 5 different years and 3 different grape varieties. The youngest component is 7 years old. All aged in oak barrels in our wine cellar until the present time. Beautifully elegant with notes of white fruit, nose of pear compote with spice. Fleshy and full, this eau-de-vie is long and mellow on the palate.
