French White Wines

A Chardonnay of great elegance with clayey soils that characterize the Morey area. The classic aging in wood makes it elegant and slightly buttery, with excellent aging potential.

Talking about Village for this Mersault is certainly an understatement, even if Monopole the clos de La Barre is certainly the emblem and manifesto of the finesse and elegance that Chardonnay can achieve in Burgundy. Very rare bottles, difficult to find, but which every wine lover should taste once in their life.

The main feature of this Chardonnay is certainly its great minerality, by far the most taut and mineral wine of all the whites of the Domaine Girardin. Aged for 14/15 months in barrique, it does not however lose its typical fatness and complexity.

Les Rochelles presents an aromatic character. With a very luminous golden color, its nose interweaves scents of flowers and white fruits, accompanied by delicate brioche notes. Colour: Sustained yellow-green. Nose: Aromas of apricot, pear and orange marmalade. Mouth: Mixture of roundness and freshness characteristic of granite soils.

On the nose, the wine is floral with notes of apple, peach and citrus peel. The palate is medium-bodied, savory and with a pleasant acidity.

Produced with grapes from vineyards in the north-east of the appellation cultivated on a clayey-limestone but mainly clayey soil. The nose reveals intriguing aromas of fresh fruit, pears and almonds. On the palate it is soft, generous and full.
