Cantine Crosio

Candia Canavese | Piemonte

Roberto Crosio, food and wine culture and passion is in his blood: his mother is the star chef of the legendary Gardenia di Caluso, he grew up in that environment and there he discovers his love for the vineyard and wine. In 2000 he started his winery and dedicated himself with competence and motivation to the enhancement of Erbaluce, the typical Canavese grape, which obviously declines into its three types. Let's start with the Metodo Classico Incanto, 36 months on the lees, lively and elegant, then the two still versions, the Primavigna, which makes only steel, floral and intriguing, and the Costaparadiso, aged one year in small wood, more complex and devoted to aging, and we end up with Passito Eva d'Or, three years in small oak barrels, all candied fruit and spices. Also very interesting are the reds, the fruity and spicy Barbera Goccianera and the Nebbiolo Gemini which plays on finesse and elegance.

Soft and easy to match wine. An apparent initial sweetness gives way to a finish with a pleasant acidity and minerality. The quality / price ratio is excellent, a wine recommended for every situation.

In the mouth it is warm, harmonious, enveloping and never cloying, since the sweetness is perfectly balanced by the freshness and flavor.

Great persistence, a glass that ranges from an aperitif to a worthy accompaniment to first and second courses based on fish or white meats.

The tasting shows a straight course, entering the mouth like a slash and not giving any space to the softness, leaving the mouth full of savory and fresh sensations.
