Nicolas Rossignol

Pommard | Burgundy

Born in 1974, Nicolas began making wine in his early twenties at the Rossignol-Jeanniard family estate, but his training took the form of multiple experiences first in other Burgundy estates and then in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Bordeaux and South Africa. In 1997 he created his Domaine with only 3 hectares which after the merger in 2011 between the D.ne Nicolas Rossignol and that of the Rossignol-Jeanniard family become 17 and on which Nicolas vinifies about 30 different appellations. In 2016 the construction of the new winery in Beaune began, which will allow the talented "vigneron" to express even better his great ability to interpret Pinot Noir from the "small" Bourgogne to the smallest facets of Volnay passing through the Pommards: wines fine, elegant extraordinary examples of Pinot Noir in the Côte de Beaune.

Soft and fruity. Doesn’t require a lot of aging, except for specific vintages. Silky tannins due to its origin.

Soil: the soil is a mix of brown-gray clay and chalk with small white stones. The vineyard is located at the beginning of a basin, therefore, it attracts the heat of the sun during the day and conserves it at night. This helps to create softer tannins

Harvest: manual

Taste: unique spicy notes, very round and fruity wine. Soft on the palate
