Light ruby red in colour, characteristic for del Pinot Nero. Fruity on the nose with scents of cherry and red berries such as strawberry, raspberry and blueberry.
Warm, elegant, soft and persistent on the mouth, with soft tannins and spicy notes due to the aging in wood.

Made from only Sangiovese grapes, Rosso di Montalcino Caparzo ages a year in Slavonian oak barrels, 50/80 Hl. then it is aged in the bottle for about 6 months.

Fruity, rich in fresh and suggestive aromas, it has good body, harmony and persistence and is well suited to moderate aging.

It comes from a small plot on the Majoli hill in Castagnole Monferrato. A rare native wine, with a particular aromatic and spicy component.

In the mouth it is soft and of good drink.

It goes well with aged cheeses and cured meats but also with dry pastries and chestnut cakes.
