Persistent foam with very fine grain perlage. Straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Complex, very fine bouquet with pleasant fruity notes of citrus and peach. Dry taste, pleasantly fresh, with a good and balanced structure.

Second edition of Bollinger's PN collection, PN VZ16 is a blend with a unique flavor that highlights the distinctive characteristics of the wines of the Verzenay terroir, the main cru of its blend. The high percentage of Verzenay in this edition's blend brings the Pinot Noir characteristics of this terroir to the wine: depth, elegance and tension.

Composed of 66% Pinot Noir and 34% Chardonnay, it has been defined as a "multi-millésimé" Champagne. In its cuvée, at least four great vintages of previous vintages from the "Vins de Réserve ”. This gives a roundness and a complexity that with four years of aging in the cellar are refined in a perfect balance

Garnet color with orange reflections, on the nose it smells of undergrowth and aromatic herbs, slightly spicy. In the mouth it is full and balanced, with a fine tannic texture.

Grapes: 80% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from the three farm estates in Tuscany. It goes perfectly with pasta, roasted or boiled white meats, roasted or grilled fish.

Obtained from a selection of Nebbiolo grapes produced in the vineyards located in the Municipality of Castiglione Falletto, in Località Mariondino.

It will be interesting to see how the 2008 ages, and if the fruit ever emerges. I suspect the 2008 will always remain a rather nervous Rosé, even if it is quite striking today. The body is brilliant, golden straw yellow in colour. The bubbles are fine. The mousse is discreet and persistent. The nose is very expressive and open, offering notes of fruit and brioche, as well as aromas of peach, white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) and vanilla pod. The attack in the mouth is lively and fresh, very harmonious. Fruit and honey flavours then follow, in a delicate expression....

The body, intense and sparkling, is bright pink in colour. The bubbles are fine. The mousse is persistent. The nose is broad and expressive, fresh and young at the same time and releases aromas of red fruits (freshly crushed wild raspberries, cherries, blackcurrants).
